Shannon (D-Knightified), Zefiris and the dragon mech thing that they turn into.
Now that I have my Scrapped Princess box set (horray for easy acess to refrences) I was finally able to finish this up. I really enjoyed this series and I adore Zephy. ^^
Yet another foray into the world of markers. I exsperemented a bit with using gouache to create the hightlights. I really like the result I just need to practice a bit more and figure out what I need to modify in my scanner settings so that it dosen't chew up the colours so much.
DUde.. . I'm going to need pointers form you on Markers.. because markers are sex, and I need pointers. And I hate you for your skillz.. and yet, love you all the same.
I love that dragon.

All I really do is figgure out the shaddow shapes and pray that my markers don't dry out on me right in the middle of a big section. I try to work in the shadeing while the first layer of colour is still wet. every thing else was a very light wash of titanium white gouache.
As for the markers I used; I use trias because the fumes from those things are mild and don't make me giggily.

A pretty piece of art, of good quality, with nicely balanced colors and good clean lines. Zefiris' expression and gesture make a good focal point, and Shannon of course gives it energy.
That's very impressive marker work. Highlights are tricky things to do with markers, it seems. I'm playing with a set of Copics at the moment and the ink seems to seep into all the areas I had set aside for highlight.
Lovely work. Like YFF, I am also fond of these characters.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
